The creation form shows the cost before an article starts. Credit costs depend on the work requested, rather than the number of words in the finished article. For example, a five-idea keyword article uses 10 credits. An article from 12 uploaded images uses 12. Requesting a replacement generated image uses two more. Automations use the same underlying article and image costs. Tests create real content and can use credits, even though they do not publish it. A credit balance does not remove Free usage limits or unlock recurring Automations. Credit packs add credits; paid or Lifetime access controls paid features.

Failed work

Failed generation can return credits for work that did not complete. For partial articles, the refund covers failed portions rather than the entire successful article. Check the result and Billing → Credit activity before starting again. See credit balances and spending and generation refunds.
