Keyword Finder can show two kinds of keyword ideas: standard ideas and premium keyword ideas. Both can help you plan Pinterest content. The difference is how much context Pinsearch can give you about the opportunity.

Standard keyword ideas

Standard keyword ideas are a useful starting point for everyday research. Use them when you want to:
  • Quickly brainstorm related Pinterest searches
  • Find common phrases around a broad topic
  • Build a first list of pin, board, or article ideas
  • Compare a few directions before going deeper
Standard ideas are especially helpful when you are still exploring a niche.

Premium keyword ideas

Premium keyword ideas surface stronger Pinterest-native signals and higher-confidence opportunities. They are helpful when you want to:
  • Find deeper topic angles beyond the obvious keyword list
  • Spot ideas that fit Pinterest behavior more closely
  • Build a larger content plan from one seed keyword
  • Save higher-value ideas to a Project for later review
Premium keyword ideas are marked with a crown in the table.

Why some premium ideas are locked

If your current account does not include full premium keyword access, Pinsearch may show a preview and hide the rest of the premium list. Free trial users can use Keyword Finder, but full premium keyword access is reserved for paid subscriptions and lifetime licenses.
Locked premium rows are not an error. They mean Pinsearch found more premium keyword ideas than your current access can show.

How to use both together

Start with the standard list to understand the topic. Then look at premium keyword ideas for more specific angles. For example, after searching home decor, you might:
  • Use standard ideas to understand broad demand
  • Use premium ideas to find more Pinterest-native subtopics
  • Sort by estimated volume to find larger opportunities
  • Check difficulty before choosing what to create
  • Save the best ideas to a Project
