# Connect and manage Pinterest accounts

> Connect Pinterest, switch accounts and resolve reconnection prompts.

Connect Pinterest so Pinsearch can read your boards and publish Pins to the account you choose.

**1. Connect the intended account**

Open **Settings → Pinterest** and click **Connect account**. Check which Pinterest account is signed in before approving the connection. Return to Pinsearch after Pinterest completes the authorization.

**2. Confirm the connection**

Check the account shown in **Settings → Pinterest**. Open Publishing and use the account selector to choose the account you want to work with.

**3. Prepare its schedule**

In **Publishing → Settings**, configure queue times for that account. A connection alone does not establish a posting schedule.

## Working with more than one account

Each account has its own drafts, queue, published history and publishing settings. Always check the selected account before importing or scheduling a batch.

Basic and Lifetime include one account, Plus includes three, and Pro includes ten. Free includes one. If the account limit is reached, disconnect an account or choose a plan with more account capacity.

An account retained after a plan change may need a publishing slot before it can publish. The connection settings let you choose which connected account can publish when your allowance is smaller than your saved account list.

## Reconnecting and disconnecting

Use the reconnection action when Pinsearch reports that an account needs reconnecting. Reconnection restores permission to use Pinterest; review the publishing status and upcoming queue afterward.

**Disconnect** stops publishing to that account. Pinsearch keeps its drafts, queue and history so you can reconnect later. Disconnecting does not delete Pins already on Pinterest.

> [!WARNING]
>
> After reconnecting or switching the account allowed to publish, check its queue before resuming. Saved Pins may still be waiting to go out.

## Troubleshooting

> **The wrong Pinterest account was connected**
>
> Disconnect it in **Settings → Pinterest**, sign in to the intended account on Pinterest, then connect again. Check the account name before creating drafts.

> **My boards are missing**
>
> Check the selected account and refresh the connection or board list using the available action. If the app asks you to reconnect, complete that first.

> **Connection was cancelled**
>
> Start **Connect account** again and complete the Pinterest authorization. Cancelling the authorization does not save a new connection.

See [publishing troubleshooting](/pinsearch-product-guides/publishing/troubleshoot-pinterest-publishing) for blocked queues and failed Pins.
